Our client provides the financial solutions behind some of the UK’s leading retail finance, co-branded credit card, affinity loans and loyalty programmes. Owned by a well-known global banking group, the UK operations are delivered out of multiple sites in England and Ireland.

A seasoned, multi-generational outsourcer, our client’s most recent incumbent RPO provider was not delivering against service delivery standards and expectations. Vacancies weren’t being well managed or resourced, and stakeholders were not being engaged or supported as promised.

The organisation terminated the contract and asked us to step in to develop and implement an RPO solution to meet their needs – both in terms of the full breadth of services required (from taking briefs through to pre-employment screening and onboarding) and budgetary requirements.

It was important to ensure minimum disruption to the business during transition between suppliers – therefore the approach taken during implementation was critical to the success of the partnership and ongoing delivery. The incumbent provider ended their provision 2 weeks earlier than scheduled, so The Curve Group fast-tracked the implementation to ensure the business did not suffer a loss in service. Within 8 weeks, the new RPO solution was live and ready to support and manage both permanent hiring at all levels from all sources including direct, referral, internal mobility and agency hires as well as Contingent worker recruitment, compliance, management and payroll and the coordination of PAYE temps.

By working closely with key stakeholders and focussing on improving the entire, end-to-end recruitment process, experience for both candidates and hiring managers and harnessing their employer brand, we have got recruitment back on track for the business.

Service highlights so far include:

  • Smooth transition from their previous incumbent to go-live within 8 weeks
  • Increase of direct sourcing rates from 30% to 97%
  • Improvement of the interview-to-offer ratio from 4:1 to 2:1
  • Implementation of robust controls to ensure 100% of hires completing background screening checks to keep the bank and its customers safe
  • Migration of all contractors in situ within 4 weeks to ensure no disruption to service, completing due diligence, checks and onboarding activity to ensure compliance with all legislation including IR35
  • Implementation of a true business partnership approach to ensure the service continues to add value and enhance processes aligned to their strategic areas of focus.
