When a business engages an external provider to manage recruitment on their behalf for either the entire business, or specific departments, it’s called Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). A Recruitment Process Outsource solution includes management of the entire end-to-end recruitment process for some or all types of hires – this can include permanent, fixed-term, contractors and temporary workers. It includes management of hires from all sources such as direct search assignments undertaken by the external provider themselves, referrals from existing employees, internal mobility and targeted outreach programmes, and utilisation of other selected, second-tier recruitment agencies.
