TSB Bank plc is a UK retail and commercial bank, providing local banking for local people across a network of 290 branches in England, Scotland and Wales. The bank was built to bring more competition to UK banking and ultimately make banking better for all UK consumers.

With an established Retail bank, TSB wanted to focus its attention on growing its commercial banking capability in order to support small businesses and entrepreneurs across the UK. To do so, they needed to build a brand-new team to launch their new business banking service, however, their internal recruitment team did not have the capacity to deliver the additional recruitment within the timeframes required.

TSB engaged us on a recruitment project basis to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for the first two cohorts of Business Relationship Managers and Senior Team Leaders. We coordinated the entire recruitment process for these hires on behalf of TSB, from the initial market and talent mapping, creating job description, job adverts and candidate packs, assessment and selection materials – right the way through to sourcing, screening, running assessment days and managing the offer process for successful candidates prior to handing off to their internal HR team to commence onboarding activities. The required headcount was successfully onboarded on schedule to meet their internal deadlines, ahead of service go-live.

Within 8 weeks we:

  • Sourced and screened 3232 candidates
  • Shortlisted 270 candidates
  • Ran 120 assessment centre days across the UK
  • Offered 34 candidates
