The latest UK Report on Jobs compiled by KPMG and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) has confirmed what we all know – that the fight to find and secure talent is really tough at the moment, primarily because:
- The number of open vacancies is the highest it’s been for 23 years (since January 1998)
- The supply of workers has reduced sharply – with overall candidate availability declining at the quickest rate we’ve seen since May 2017
