Are You Ready for the Employment Law Changes in April?

As part of the Government’s Good Work Plan, employment law is changing from April 2020. At the moment employers have up to eight weeks to provide a Contract for their workers, but from 6 April 2020 this will need to be issued on the first day. Furthermore, employers will also be required to include additional information in Contracts – information which is not currently required by law, including details such as notice periods, eligibility of sick and other types of leave and conditions of probationary periods.

It is a good time to review your current Contracts, Handbook and Policies to ensure you’re compliant.
